Robinson Seismic Bearing with lead insert (Lead Rubber Bearing)

The Robinson Seismic Bearing (RSB) is available with a range of rubber properties from a low damping rubber to a high damping rubber or with a lead plug making a 'lead rubber bearing'.
The RSB is also available as a 'hybrid bearing' with a high damping rubber
plus the lead plug providing many of the advantages of both models. The
RSB comes in square, rectangular or circular and the type of names
indicate shape and lateral size of the bearing. For example, RSB-S-600 is
a square bearing with shim plate size of 600mm, RSB-R-400x700 is a
rectangular bearing while RSB-C-600 is a circular bearing with shim plate
diameter of 600mm.
For large bearings we produce only square or rectangular ones to limit
cost. The height of bearings are always designed for a particular project,
depending on axial load and design displacement and our assembled moulds
have a reasonably wide range of bearing height.
The minimum and maximum pressure and maximum displacement are recommended
values only and we design our RSBs according to the code that our customer
needs to follow.
