Robinson Seismic Ltd was announced as the winner of the Discovering Gold category at last night's Wellington Regional Gold Awards dinner and presentation ceremony.
RSL beat some stiff competition to be crowned the winner of Discovering
Gold 2007 - an award focusing on technological, scientific and innovative
research and development projects. The award recognised the
significance of the RoGlider - RSL's new and innovative seismic isolation
product suitable for lighter-weight structures.
The RoGlider has been over 5 years in the research and development stage,
culminating in its first commercial application at the new Wanganui
Hospital currently under construction.
In his acceptance speech, RSL CEO Mr Alan Wilson acknowledged the staff of
RSL, the support of many organisations and the financial assistance of the
Foundation for Research Science and Technology in developing the RoGlider
to this stage.
