Testing Facilities

Two bearings, each weighing three quarters of a tonne, are put through a seismic-simulation test rig.

Robinson Seismic has a number of unique test machines suitable for testing
a range of dampers and seismic isolation systems. Testing facilities
include:
* A 7500 kN test rig (simulated vertical load compression <
20MN, tension < 10MN, horizontal load < 7.5MN)
* A 700 kN test rig (simulated vertical load
compression < 6MN, tension < 2MN, horizontal load 700 kN)
* A universal test machine (+/- 250 kN)
The manufacturing facility of Robinson Seismic Ltd in Malaysia has its own
seismic isolator test machine which has a 4,000 tonne compression capacity,
2000 tonne in tension, and a sheer capacity of 700 tonnes with total stroke
of one metre.
